These espaliered trees are going to go in area in next photograph. The laurel hedges will go and the espaliered figs and citrus will go in its stead.
The Utility Building has been a neglected child the past few months, using it as a storage space for the interior doors, then for redwood sidings. But last week it got some love in getting its new standing seam metal roof. We are moving along.
The redwood sidings for the Utility Building are cement washed to give it an aged finish that also accentuates the circular saw cut that we intended.
While the original stone in the main building is beautiful, these redwood planks for the sidings on the utility building is getting us psyched 🙂
The dormer windows are up (too bad, the scaffolding blocks a clearer view). The bay windows are also installed.

There is nothing in this post that shows 4th of July. Except it was really taken today, July 4. And because the parade passed across the house, we basically had a “private” viewing. Happy 4th of July and this time next year we hope to be in the Francis House pool ! 🙂 Thanks…
