I always dreamed of having a long table. This setting is the ultimate to many conversations, communal meals and laughter. Will attempt one just like this in the rear of the building.
These espaliered trees are going to go in area in next photograph. The laurel hedges will go and the espaliered figs and citrus will go in its stead.
The 4 days straight of heavy downpour leaves us with a lush and vivid green. And this morning the Francis House received our order for 15 gallon English Laurel hedges which made us look like a nursery. Seeing this marks the beginning of our landscape work.
With the chisel and skill these stone masons have, these 2 columns are the closest we will get to seeing the basics of temple building in King Solomon’s time.
We will be cladding the columns with these original stone we salvaged from the property.
