Fried Halloumi, Cucumber and Avocado On Sourdough with Lemon Cumin Tahini
The front facade now sports 2 Dormer Windows.
The small footprint of the main building is to enough space for “commercial” size laundry machines and food storage. This is the solution.
A good friend of ours passed by the Francis House today and shared a conversation of some passersby on Harley’s: “How wonderful that this building is being restored after 50 years of abandonment.”
Priming and “preening” the second dormer window before installation. Two up, 7 more to go!
The original Francis House had a second set of gutters on the upper part of the roof. We are recreating this today using metal that will be painted black that will blend in with the custom wooden shingles on the Mansard Roof.
The age of the Wood speaks volumes. They are like wrinkles in a woman’s face: with a history and a story.
These Dormer Windows are Pieces of a Puzzle Masterfully Put Together by Napa Craftsman Dennis Douglas.
